3D-Printed Coral Reefs Are Restoring Mexican Caribbean Ecosystems

Cozumel is one of the top tourist destinations in Mexico, with up to 4 million cruise ship passengers visiting the island each year. However, this has had an effect on the ecosystems that attract visitors in the first place. Due to overtourism and climate change, there has been an increase in environmental stress as well as rising temperatures, leading to severe bleaching of coral reefs in the area.
