Striking Architectural “Moon” Nestled Into the Mountains of China

Nestled into the mountains of Ti'an, China, Hometown Moon is a fascinating example of architecture used for revitalization. Perched above Jiunv Crest, or Nine Women’s Peak, SYN Architects designed the structure as a scenic attraction to pull visitors into new areas of the city. Its arched structure is situated above a reflecting pool, creating a moon-like effect that went viral online.

The Netherlands Returns 119 Looted Historical Bronze Artworks to Nigeria

Over the last few years, museums around the world have vowed to return artwork and artifacts that were looted from their places of origin. The latest institution to fulfill their promise is the Wereldmuseum, in the Dutch city of Leiden. In tandem with the government of the Netherlands, they've returned 119 stolen artifacts, known as Benin Bronzes, to Nigeria.

Architecture studio EMUNARQ is known for its exceptional visualizations that bring creative concepts to life. While the firm typically publishes polished renderings of fully realized spaces, their new series is something quite different. Called Fluidity in Form, the renderings look like animated architectural sketches.
